About Me
Hello, I’m Heather.
My journey into the enchanting world of invertebrates began in March 2025 with a humble colony of isopods. What started as a small fascination quickly wove its spell, leading me deeper into a world of mantids, millipedes, jumping spiders, velvet spiders, and eventually the creatures that would truly capture my heart—tarantulas.
For years, I dreamed of keeping a tarantula, yet I was equally terrified of them. In July 2025, I finally gathered the courage to bring home my first. Instead of finding fear, I found fascination. What began as a challenge soon became a passion, and these misunderstood creatures have become a source of peace, grounding, and wonder in a world that often feels chaotic.
I have always been drawn to the unusual, the overlooked, and the beautifully misunderstood. Through keeping and caring for invertebrates, I’ve discovered a deep appreciation for the quiet magic of nature—watching a spider weave its web, a mantis emerge from a moult, or a tiny isopod colony thrive beneath the forest floor.
Today, my collection continues to grow, and I am branching into breeding jumping spiders and Gandanameno velvet spiders. I also create and 3D print accessories, hides, and enrichment items designed specifically for jumping spiders and other invertebrates, blending creativity, craftsmanship, and a touch of magic.
This little corner of the web is where I share my journey, celebrate these extraordinary creatures, and hopefully inspire others to see the beauty in the things that many people fear. After all, sometimes the most magical companions come with eight legs.
